What we collect

Nothing. We have no accounts, no forms and no analytics of our own.

What advertising collects

Pages carry advertising, and the ad network sets cookies and receives your IP address and browser details in the ordinary way. Where you have a legal right to refuse that — under GDPR, the CCPA or an equivalent — the ad network's own consent controls are how you exercise it, and this site does not override them.

What we do not do

• No lead generation. Your details are never collected or sold.
• No email list.
• No cross-site profile of you built by us.

The complaints on this site

The complaints quoted on this site are public records published by NHTSA. We strip links out of them and do not quote any that still carry someone's contact details. If you filed one and would rather it did not appear here, write to contact@carsafetyrecord.com with enough of the text to find it, and it will be removed at the next build.

Getting hold of a person

contact@carsafetyrecord.com reaches the one person who compiles this site. Corrections are the most useful thing you can send: every number here is derived from a public file by rules written down in how this is counted, and a rule that is wrong is wrong on thousands of pages at once.
