- The defect
- Shyft Group (Shyft Group) is recalling certain 2022 Utilimaster Walk-In vans. The catalytic converter theft deterrent cover may contact and damage the hydraulic brake lines.
- What it can cause
- Damaged brake lines may leak, causing a loss of brakes and increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Shyft Group will modify the cover to provide proper clearance and replace damaged brake lines as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in November 2022. Owners may contact Shyft Group customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft Group's number for this recall is 22-15.
