- The defect
- Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2024 International HV, International MV trucks, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC commercial buses. When the parking brake is applied, the automatic transmission is still in drive or reverse position, and the stationary power take-off (PTO) switch is engaged by the operator, the engine may rev and overcome the parking brake's ability to keep the vehicle from moving.

- Unexpected vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will update the Cummins ECM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24, 2023. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 23504. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 20V-810.
