ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
- The defect
- Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 Anthem and Pinnacle vehicles. A software programming error may cause the electronic stability control (ESC) to be inoperative.
- What it can cause
- Driving with an inoperative electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will reprogram the control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 3, 2023. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0450.
