- The defect
- Trans Tech Bus (Trans Tech) is recalling certain 2018-2021 SST, CST, SSTFLR and CSTFLR school buses. In the event of a rollover, the emergency exit windows may not open. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 220, "School Bus Rollover Protection."
- What it can cause
- An emergency exit window that does not open can increase the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and repair the emergency exit windows as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2024. Owners may contact Trans Tech customer service at 1-845-988-2333.
