- The defect
- Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling one 2025 New VN truck. A software error in the instrument cluster may cause the anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning light not to illuminate. As such, this vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
- What it can cause
- An ABS warning light that fails to illuminate will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- A dealer will reprogram the software, free of charge. Owners may contact Volvo Customer Service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo's number for this recall is RVXX2410.
