- The defect
- Terminal Investment Corporation (TICO) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Pro Spotter trucks. The vehicles may be equipped with a non-DOT brake line fitting, resulting in reduced braking performance. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
- What it can cause
- Reduced brake performance can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and replace the fitting as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 25, 2025. Owners may contact TICO customer service at 1-843-536-8139.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
