- The defect
- The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2024 front end loader garbage trucks. The fuel shutoff solenoid may fail, resulting in an engine stall while driving.
- What it can cause
- An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Heil will remove the CNG automatic shutoff solenoid, free of charge. All repairs will be performed free of charge. All affected trucks were repaired by August 12, 2024. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
