- The defect
- Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2025 R600T trailers. The rear impact guards have been manufactured with a design that may have inadequate strength. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 223, "Rear Impact Guards."
- What it can cause
- Inadequate strength of the rear impact guards can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will repair the rear impact guards, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 21, 2025. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is IK4732.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
