- The defect
- Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2026 Seismic fifth wheel travel trailers. The certification label lists an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
- What it can cause
- The trailer may be accidentally overloaded after referencing the incorrect information, increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Jayco will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 23, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901638.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
