- The defect
- Alexis Fire Equipment Company (Alexis Fire) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Pumper, 2024 Rescue, and 2020-2024 Tanker fire trucks built on Spartan chassis. The actuator lever arm in the Spartan cab door latch may bind or become wedged, preventing the door from opening.
- What it can cause
- A door that cannot be opened may trap occupants inside the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and replace the door latches as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2025. Owners may contact Alexis Fire customer service at 1-309-482-6121.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
