- The defect
- International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. While carrying the maximum number of occupants, the bus may exceed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) when the fuel tank and fluid reservoirs are full.
- What it can cause
- An incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the bus, increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and repair suspension as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 27, 2026. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25523.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
