- The defect
- ARBOC Specialty Vehicles, LLC (ARBOC) is recalling certain 2025 Spirit of Freedom transit buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
- What it can cause
- An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2026. Owners may contact ARBOC customer service at 1-866-953-5555.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
