- The defect
- Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2026 Vision and All American transit buses equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
- What it can cause
- An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Blue Bird will work with Q'Straint to inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 29. 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
