- The defect
- Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. is recalling certain 2026 Trident 800 motorcycles. During pre-delivery inspection (PDI), the diagnostic tool may have loaded an incorrect headlight low beam configuration, causing the low beams to illuminate improperly. As such, these motorcycles do not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
- What it can cause
- Insufficient illumination from the headlight low beam can reduce rider visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will update the diagnostic software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 20, 2026. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SRAN 643. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on April 1, 2026.
