- The defect
- Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Vision school buses equipped with Ricon K-Series wheelchair platform lifts. The electrical contactor may fail, preventing the controls from stopping the lift.
- What it can cause
- A wheelchair lift that continues to move while occupied increases the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will correct the wiring by installing two diodes, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 30, 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242. Blue Bird's number for this recall is R26AH.
