The defect
Rewaco Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH (Rewaco) is recalling certain 2024 RF1 ST-3, 2024-2025 PUR3 GT, 2024-2026 RF1 ST-3 Touring, RF1 GT Touring, and PUR3 GT Touring three-wheeled motorcycles. The connection between the piston rod and rod end in the rear shock absorbers may loosen, resulting in a loss of vehicle control.
What it can cause
A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash or injury.
What the dealer does
Dealers will replace the rear shock absorbers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 28, 2026. Owners may contact Rewaco customer service at 239-309-3592. Rewaco's number for this recall is RW-Stossd-2026-01.

The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.

Which vehicles

A recall reaches a range of VINs inside these model years, not every car built in them. Yours may not be covered even if it is listed here, and the only way to find out is NHTSA's own VIN lookup.

How this campaign compares

At 106 vehicles this is a small campaign: 69% of the 19,821 vehicle recalls with a published size filed from 1995 up to this one are as large or larger. The middle campaign among them covers 472. It covers model years 2024 to 2026, so the oldest vehicles on it were 2 model years old when the defect was reported to NHTSA.

Check your own car

A VIN check is the only answer for a specific vehicle, and it also shows every other open recall on it, which is usually the reason it is worth doing rather than reading one campaign.

Filed by Rewaco Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH with NHTSA on September 16, 2026 as campaign 26V596000. Every word of the defect, consequence and remedy above is NHTSA's published record of that filing, not a summary of it.
