- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Dynamax Isata recreational vehicles. The bunk ladder may be attached to a wooden mattress insert, resulting in the ladder loosening.
- What it can cause
- A ladder that pulls away from the bunk increases the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will replace the mattress insert with a metal frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 2, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-206-7600. Forest River's number for this recall is 55-2099.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
Which vehicles
A recall reaches a range of VINs inside these model years, not every car built in them. Yours may not be covered even if it is listed here, and the only way to find out is NHTSA's own VIN lookup.

How this campaign compares
At 111 vehicles this is a small campaign: 68% of the 19,834 vehicle recalls with a published size filed from 1995 up to this one are as large or larger. The middle campaign among them covers 472. It covers model years 2026 to 2027, and the defect was reported to NHTSA in 2026, at or before the oldest model year it covers — as current as a recall gets.
Dynamax vehicles have been recalled over the equipment 10 times before this, most recently in November 2024 as 24V771000. That is not evidence the earlier repair failed.
The vehicles on this campaign carry one other recall published here: 26V610000 (equipment).
Check your own car
A VIN check is the only answer for a specific vehicle, and it also shows every other open recall on it, which is usually the reason it is worth doing rather than reading one campaign.
