FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

crash

Vehicle frequently stalls or engine stops suddenly. Engine will "knock" and suddenly stall when engaging the clutch while providing throttle to begin riding. It will stall when engaging the clutch to downshift into lower gears while coming to a stop. This has happened at busy roadways at red lights, stop signs, and even when slowing down to navigate a turn. Engine may stall while in neutral and throttle is applied. Typically a short rattle or what sounds like valves knocking, is followed by a backfire, prior to stalling. There is no way to prevent stalling/engine stopping unless RPM's are kept over 3,000. I have fallen over or crashed offroad several times, when navigating obstacles or

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The biked suddenly stalled in a traffic light. The worst part is that right after, when I click the starter to turn the bike back on, the whole electric system shut off. This had been a recurring issue, at least 7 times over the first 600 miles of this bike. I have an appointment to run diagnosis o the bike but have heard will be hard for KTM, to really take care and fix this. Please help. This became a large issue being stuck with cars honking on me. Had to get off the bike and push it off the road.

NHTSA complaint 11693187. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

ENGINE
The bike is prone to stalling as you come to a stop and are pulling in the clutch. It can happen without warning. There is also an issue with the side stand. It stacks out pretty far and if your boot touches it can kill power delivery leading to a sudden loss of power.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
