- The defect
- Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Urus Performante and Urus S vehicles. The hood latch striker may separate and fail, resulting in an unlatched hood that can open or detach while driving.
- What it can cause
- A hood that opens while driving can detach and become a road hazard, or obstruct the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and repair the hood, and install a striker support plate if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 12, 2024. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's number for this recall is L636-R.02.24.
