- The defect
- Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Volvo New VN trucks. The dynamic steering and oversteer guidance feature may malfunction and cause a loss of steering control.
- What it can cause
- A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- The oversteer guidance feature will be disabled through an over-the-air (OTA) update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2506.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
