SERVICE BRAKES
- The defect
- FWMOTO INC. (FLYE) is recalling certain 2024 FWMOTO FLY-10 and 2022-2024 FLY E-BIKE FLY-10 scooters. The brake pads may provide insufficient braking performance. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 122, “Motorcycle Brake Systems.”
- What it can cause
- Insufficient braking performance can extend the distance required to stop or cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
- What the dealer does
- FLYE will replace the brake pads, free of charge, or repurchase the scooter. Owner notification letters were mailed March 27, 2026. Owners may contact FLYE customer service at 646-961-5177 or email [email protected].
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
