ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
- The defect
- Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2026 ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. Contact with the drive line yoke may damage the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) unit.
- What it can cause
- A damaged ESC unit may malfunction, disabling the electronic stability control and increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Autocar will relocate the ESC unit, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were be mailed March 27, 2026. Another notice will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated May 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-2601.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
