FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL: PRE-HEATER

The defect
Forest River, Inc (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Dynamax Grand Sport GT recreational vehicles. The engine pre-heat pump may have been improperly installed, causing the coolant hose to fail.
What it can cause
A coolant hose failure can cause the engine to overheat, increasing the risk of a crash.
What the dealer does
Dealers will re-pin the wiring harness, re-route the coolant hoses, and replace parts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 31, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-522-1583. Forest River's number for this recall is 40-2097.

The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.

Which vehicles

A recall reaches a range of VINs inside these model years, not every car built in them. Yours may not be covered even if it is listed here, and the only way to find out is NHTSA's own VIN lookup.

How this campaign compares

At 16 vehicles this is a small campaign: 89% of the 19,827 vehicle recalls with a published size filed from 1995 up to this one are as large or larger. The middle campaign among them covers 472. It covers model years 2026 to 2027, and the defect was reported to NHTSA in 2026, at or before the oldest model year it covers — as current as a recall gets.

The vehicles on this campaign carry one other recall published here: 26V131000 (electrical system).

Check your own car

A VIN check is the only answer for a specific vehicle, and it also shows every other open recall on it, which is usually the reason it is worth doing rather than reading one campaign.
