THIS VEHICLE WHICH IS THE X164 CHASSIS HAS A REAR FIXED PANORAMIC SUNROOF THAT IS MADE OUT OF POLYCARBONATE. THE POLYCARBONATE SUNROOF GLASS IS BREAKING DOWN ON THE INSIDE OF THE PANEL AND IS CRACKING. THIS POSES A SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE FACT THAT ONCE IT CRACKS AND DEGRADES TO A CERTAIN POINT IT WILL BREAK. IF THIS PANEL BREAKS WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT CAN FLY OFF THE VEHICLE IN TURN HITTING CARS BEHIND ME CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THE OTHER SAFETY CONCERN IS THAT WHEN IT BREAKS IT MORE THAN LIKELY WOULD CAUSE INJURY TO OCCUPANTS OF MY VEHICLE THAT WOULD BE SITTING IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN THIS TO A BODY SHOP AS WELL AS THE MERCEDES BENZ

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
