POWER TRAIN
I am driving a 2015 Ford Expedition that utilizes the 6R80 transmission. I am actively experiencing the severe, dangerous highway downshifting failure described in Ford's F-150 safety recall. The truck is throwing codes P0705, P0706, and P0707. My car will go into limp-mode and lose acceleration while driving, light up the wrench and stop displaying the gear and idle high and accelerate at half the speed. Issue I’m having with my 2015 Ford expedition Limited, is on multiple occasions when I’m at highway speeds my vehicle downshifts and decelerates. While im driving through the city streets, my vehicle downshifts randomly and does not upshift. On these occasions I’ve had to safely pull over and turn my vehicle off and on. Doing so resolves the problem for about 10 miles, and then back to the same issue.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
