- The defect
- Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Phoenix transit buses equipped with a propane conversion kit with an aftermarket compressor. The alternator may contact and damage the fuel line.
- What it can cause
- A damaged fuel line may leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect the alternator clearance and install additional brackets as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
