EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY:WHEELCHAIR RESTRAINTS/SECUREMENT:CRITICAL FASTENERS
- The defect
- Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Phoenix and 2026 Metrolite buses, equipped with certain QRT-360 wheelchair retractors. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
- What it can cause
- An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
- What the dealer does
- Dealers will inspect and replace retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 5, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
