SUSPENSION:CRITICAL FASTENERS
- The defect
- Gillig, LLC (Gillig) is recalling certain 2025 Low Floor transit buses. The rear axle upper torque rod fasteners may have been improperly tightened. A loose torque rod may contact and damage other axle components.
- What it can cause
- Damaged axle components can decrease stability or vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- What the dealer does
- Gillig will replace the torque rod fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 26, 2026. Owners may contact Gillig's customer service at 1-800-735-1500.
The repair is free, whatever the age or mileage of the vehicle, and whether or not you are the original owner.
