STEERING
The progressive failure of the factory steering wheel adhesive on my 2025 GMC Yukon creates an immediate, active safety hazard during vehicle operation. The material failure and sticky glue are localized directly around the integrated heating element of the steering wheel. This failure severely impacts driving maneuvers as well as a potential electrical fire hazard. The liquefied glue residue is incredibly sticky and continually transfers to the driver’s hands, resulting in a compromised, slippery grip on the steering wheel. During active driving maneuvers, such as hand-over-hand turning, navigating sharp curves, the loose edges of the peeling leather and separating trim physically catch on

POWER TRAIN
GM performed a vehicle wide Over the Air reprogramming of the modules incorporated in the VIP/Global B electronics platform in April, 2026. Following that my vehicle became totally dead. Key fob would not unlock the vehicle. Had to use the metal key, open the drivers door. Opened the door, nothing moved. No lights, no movement from anything on the vehicle. Opened the hood, charged the battery and tried to crank it. Would not budge. Starter would not engage. Disconnected the negative battery cable. Tried again. Still would not budge. VISIBILITY/WIPER
On multiple occasions the center screen has been non operational when we start the car and just shows a black screen. The volume knob and screen power button are non-responsive. When this occurs the backup camera is inoperable, which is mandatory safety equipment. the HVAC also cannot be adjusted which could cause a windshield fogging condition which is a safety concern. The vehicle has been to the dealer 3 times for screen problems and the issue has not been resolved. When this occurs the problem persists for a few ignition cycles or for up to a couple of days and then will start functioning again. We have not been able to determine any specific condition that is causing the failure.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
