The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Nissan Juke Nismo RS vehicles. Due to a problem within the brake master cylinder, brake fluid may leak into the brake booster, reducing brake performance.
The risk
If brake fluid leaks into the brake booster it can lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

WHEN APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION TO TURN LEFT, ALTHOUGH I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE CAR WASN'T SLOWING, SPEED WAS THE SAME. WHEN I BEGAN TO TURN THE WHEEL, THE STEERING WHEEL KEPT JERKING RIGHT. IT FELT LIKE SOMETHING HAD LOCKED UP. THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO BE INEFFECTIVE AND BECAUSE THE STEERING KEPT JERKING TO THE RIGHT ON A LEFT TURN, IT RAMMED INTO THE CURB AND CAUSED INJURY TO MYSELF.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while driving, the brake pedal was depressed and the brake pedal was stiff. The vehicle was vibrating. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. Breakes not wanting to stop, the petal gets stuck as well and when you fill it up gas fumes come in the vechile that caused me headaches and Nauseous. I reported it to Firestone who seemed to think it wasn't a problem several times, also reported to dealership i could of hit someone or someone hit me . I got two tickes by traffic recorder back to backn 1) petal getting stuck 2) Accelerating because gas petal got stuck. Inspected by Firestone anyone else unknown. I was scared didnt notice any warnings but could of been just got the vehicle from Drivetime 9/9/23

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Juke. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle decelerated to 58 MPH unintendedly. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the PCV valve was replaced; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. My sunroof spontaneously shattered while driving 25 mph and no other cars around me. This seems to be a regular problem known to Nissan but Nissan will take no responsibility for THEIR defective product. $2000 for Nissan to replace.

POWER TRAIN
Driving from Vegas to Los Angeles and 105 plus degree weather car went into limp mode unexpectedly in in 65 mph traffic in the fast lane was almost rear-ended could not accelerate to get off the side of the road for about 5 minutes. Car was jerking and not accelerating pulled over to check out what was wrong smelled burning fluids car would start but would no longer move. About 45 minutes to an hour later after checking all the fluid levels making sure they were at the appropriate level, restarted vehicle attempted to drive home car kept going into limp mode had to keep pulling over.
