FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

crash

1. forward collision warning works sometimes at long distances, but not always at short distances 2. blind spot and parking collision warning does not always work ESPECIALLY FOR HUMANS. (there have already been three collisions with objects), Contacting the manufacturer does not help to solve the problem within three months

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

towed · 4,300 miles

The contact owns a 2022 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds with the Adaptive Cruise Control activated, the vehicle experienced phantom braking without another vehicle being nearby. The contact stated that the system would be activated by a shadow within the detection zone of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure had occurred approximately 20 times. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,300.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
2022 Genesis G70: Severe moisture inside of headlights causing DRL, blinkers, headlights, etc., to short out or completely stop working. I had them replaced once under warranty and the same thing happened again. The Genesis dealership and Genesis customer care now refuse to take responsibility bc my warranty expired. They gave me a quote of $6078.95 (labor not included)!! My vehicle has never been wrecked, and there is no front end damage whatsoever.

POWER TRAIN
I am reporting a recurring drivetrain defect in my 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport Prestige AWD (current mileage: 20,000 miles). The vehicle produces a prominent, loud mechanical whining and droning noise specifically when driving within the speed range of 55 mph to 65 mph. The issue is highly load-dependent: the noise significantly intensifies and gets louder when decelerating/coasting down through this speed window without the brakes applied and it is very prominent on smooth roads or highway. The sound distinctly originates from the front front-end/drivetrain area, heavily pointing to an issue with the front axle differential ring/pinion gear mesh or a failing pinion bearing. The

NHTSA complaint 11743027, quoted in part. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Excessive condensation in the front headlight that constitutes a safety issue during night driving. Investigation into this needs conducted. I had the passenger side replaced under warranty but now I am outside warranty and the extended coverage excludes sealed headlight components. The dealership quoted $1600.00 to replace. Excessive for a safety item that should be recalled and manufacture should be forced to correct in a recall.

ENGINE

30,000 miles

The contact owns a 2022 Genesis G70. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated to maintain automotive power while the accelerator pedal was depressed. No warning light was illuminated. In addition, the vehicle failed to exceed 45 MPH occasionally and went into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was restarted as a temporary fix. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
My vehicle is covered under Safety Recall 023G involving an ECU update, inspection for DTC P0088, and high-pressure fuel pump replacement if inspection criteria are met. The recall is listed as completed, however the high-pressure fuel pump was not replaced, and the dealer has refused replacement. Only an ECU update was performed. I continue to experience fuel pressure–related symptoms consistent with the recall condition. The dealer has declined further action and has not provided documentation showing inspection results or justification for non-replacement. I believe the recall was improperly completed, creating a safety risk due to potential loss of engine power or stalling. I am

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
