SUSPENSION

1 injured · crash · towed

Lower control arm bracket failed. Yes available for inspection. The adaptive cruse lane assist function malfunctioned. Yes available for inspection. I was injured. Police inspected the wheel and called it into question a manufacture defect in the police report. Manufacture (Jeep) acknowledges it but has been unresponsive. No warning when the wheel assembly disengaged (wheel, brake, tie rod, control arm, stub axel from the vehicle) traveling at 67 mph prior to crashing into a barrier

NHTSA complaint 11518949. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

AIR BAGS
The vehicle is displaying "service hybrid system" when driving at highway speeds. We have been told by the service center that this is just a code b273c-00, an error with the airbag system, and we should not worry about this since it is a computer glitch. I have confirmed with the service advisor that it is now impossible to distinguish a real hybrid system malfunction from a "fake" airbag system warning. I am told that the vehicle is safe to drive and nothing requires repair, however, Jeep star publication case S2408000063 states there is a fix, but it is only to be used to "mitigate buyback." That is unacceptable and needs to be remedied as soon as possible.

NHTSA complaint 11650653. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
While driving on the highway, I heard a loud POP coming from the roof of my vehicle. I have a panoramic sunroof. I then pulled over and saw that my sunroof had shattered. The car is less than two years old. I did some research and discovered that I was not the first person to whom this happened. I contacted Jeep, and they were no help with it. They stated they were not responsible for anything and did not even care what I had to say.

NHTSA complaint 11649069. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
This vehicle has a nonstop history of unresolved electrical issues cause numerous warnings of failed systems, failure to start and randomly going into "Limp mode". It has been to the Jeep service shop 7 times so far. Recently, the vehicle completely shut down and lost all power while driving at speeds higher than 50 mph on 2 separate occasions. On February 2nd 2025 the vehicle lost power on the freeway at 80 mph. I swerved into the left shoulder to prevent an accident. vehicle was towed to Jeep service center, a software upgrade was performed and returned to me as presumed "fixed" by Jeep. On February 25, 2025 the vehicle again lost all power while driving down a highway at 50 mph. Again,

NHTSA complaint 11643918. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

ENGINE
While driving on the freeway, the vehicle turned off. No engine, no electric, no headlights. I had to coast to the side during traffic. The mechanic is replacing the OCR module, stating the car thought it was in a collision and turned off. Though obviously it wasn’t. Before which, the screen flashes off from time to time. The car has had loss of power for a moment in the past but never all the way off. This was extremely dangerous and I’m concerned the OCR will not fix the issue. It is with the dealership now.

NHTSA complaint 11644038. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I started getting random "service hybrid electrical system" warnings. The warning would come up and go away after approximately 5 seconds. On 2/5/25 I was on the highway going about 65mph when this warning light came on and I lost power. I still had power steering and brakes, but no acceleration. I was in the middle lane during rush hour, trying to coast over to the shoulder. Luckily I was able to make it without causing an accident. I put the vehicle in park and was able to restart. This happened a second time, but luckily I had just parked and was idling. Obviously, this is a very scary, dangerous situation for a vehicle to suddenly lose power anytime let alone when on a very busy

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
