The defect

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach.

The risk

Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will replace the roof rack crossbar pivot bolts, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 81D. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The quarter trim on the driver and passenger windows may not have been properly secured, which can allow it to detach.

The risk

Detached trim pieces can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the quarter window glass assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 19, 2026. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Dodge Durango, 2021-2023 Chrysler Pacifica, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Chrysler Voyager, 2022-2023 Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Ram Promaster vehicles. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The risk

A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will update the radio software or the software will be OTA, "Over-The-Air," free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning July 9, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's numbers for this recall are 66B and 79B.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The third-row seat belts may not allow occupants to properly access or fasten the seat belt to the buckle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

The risk

An unfastened seat belt may increase the risk of injury to occupants during a crash.

The remedy

The Central Vision Park Assist module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The risk

A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

The remedy

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The upper B-pillar interior trim may not be fully seated and could interfere with the side curtain air bag (SABIC) deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."

The risk

A compromised deployment of the SABIC can reduce occupant protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The remedy

The second-row center-seat recliner pull strap may bind on the seat trim surface, preventing the seat back from locking into the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

The risk

A seat back that is not locked into position can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

The remedy

I am filing this complaint because my Grand Wagoneer has experienced repeated, serious safety-related failures involving the braking system, electrical/communication systems, and vehicle shutdown. I no longer believe this vehicle is safe to operate. The most serious problem has occurred more than once. On July 21, 2026, while driving, the brakes failed. The brake pedal went to the floor and the vehicle would not stop normally. Multiple warning lights/messages appeared. I ultimately had to shift the vehicle into Park to prevent a collision. I am reporting a serious and recurring safety issue involving my 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The vehicle currently has approximately 95,000 miles. On the first incident, the vehicle became disabled and gasoline was pouring from the rear of the vehicle. Police and fire personnel responded and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. The dealership’s repair documentation states that the vehicle was brought in as a no-start with gas pouring from the rear and that technicians “found fuel line disconnected.” The fuel line was resecured. My 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has been subject to an open safety recall involving the rear passenger-side window trim since I purchased the vehicle in 2025. I scheduled and attended numerous appointments with the authorized Jeep dealership seeking completion of the recall repair, but the defect was never remedied. On September 7, 2026, my husband was driving the Grand Wagoneer while I followed behind in another vehicle. My two toddlers were occupants of my vehicle. Before the incident, I observed the recalled rear passenger window trim flapping and becoming loose. There have been multiple recalls (77C and 88C) affecting 2022-2025 Wagoneers where the trimming was not properly secured at the vehicle assembly plant. Our rear window trim was affected by one of these recalls and has fully detached from our vehicle while we were driving which has yet to be replaced by the dealership. I have attached a picture to show our rear window trim that is missing. We are having a similar issue with our front passenger window trim but the dealership has stated this is not part of the recall but based off the pictures attached it is evident that the retainer clips were also not fully engaged in this part of the window trim and is beginning to detach and pose as a road …

There were 2 recent safety recalls (77C and 88C) that affected numerous 2022-2025 Grand Wagoneer vehicles regarding the window trim. One of the recalls directly affected our vehicle where the rear trim detached and flew off our vehicle. The dealership has yet to replace this rear trim stating that the window has to be replaced as well and is currently on backorder. The bottom half of our window trim on the passenger side is also starting to detach from the vehicle but the dealership states that it is not part of the recalls associated with our vehicle.
