The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
The risk
Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy
Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The driver-side door and left rear passenger door do not properly lock or unlock using the key fob. This is a consistent issue and creates a safety concern because the doors may remain unlocked while the vehicle is in operation. This malfunction poses a potential security and passenger safety risk. Manually locking and unlocking the doors while entering, exiting, or operating the vehicle is inconvenient and could create hazardous situations. No warning lights, alerts, or diagnostic messages have appeared related to this issue. The vehicle is less than four years old and has been maintained under normal operating conditions. A failure involving the power door lock system should not occur at

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving 70 mi./ an hour and then all of a sudden the car jerked very hard. The car behind me had to hurry up and move from behind me because he saw my car had come coming to a complete stop at 25 to 35 miles an hour. A show that I had a crash and then I tried to accelerate to go pick up the speed and I couldn’t go no more than 45 miles was very scary don’t want driver car like that haven’t had the car a month and I’m having issues with something I’m paying for that shouldn’t be happening

STRUCTURE:BODY
1) The passenger door on the drivers side will not open and the drivers side window also is faulty. 2) it is a safety hazard to have car doors that won't open, as it can prevent emergency exit, and it can also create a danger to other road users. If a door is stuck closed during a crash, it could prevent a person from getting out, which is particularly dangerous if the car catches fire. a faulty car window regulator is a safety hazard, especially in Florida, because it can prevent you from opening the window in an emergency, compromise security by not closing properly, and expose the interior to the elements. A faulty regulator can lead to a window being stuck, falling into the door, or not

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
