SERVICE BRAKES

crash · towed

Collision warning failed. Automatic emergency braking failed. Unknown if brakes were delayed or had issue stopping. I rear ended the car the in front of me, going from a stop while attempting to make a right hand turn. There were no system warnings or emergency braking applied although the car is equipped with those and many more safety features. During the accident the air bags were not deployed. So the impact was not severe but caused a combined $10,000 plus in cosmetic damage to both vehicles.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

crash

My car had an accident and it was hit by another car on the left side, but the camera which was assumed to record the accident, it did not. Fortunately no one get injury. But I have to pay with my insurance. BWM did not admit such fatal error. I talked to them but they said I can sue them.... 1. I went to BMW Darien, the specilist said the camera only worked when being hit by the front, but it is not true, there are 4 cameras which record 360 degree around. 2. I assumed whenever an accident happened, the camera system will be activated, but the BMW people said because the accident was not severe, then the sensors did not work. But when checking my car, the whole left side was damaged, it is

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
I was told this car has rear cross traffic warning when I ordered it from our local BMW dealer. After several "close calls" in parking lots, I took it into the dealer because it doesn't work like any of our other vehicles (Mercedes). I was told by the dealer that you have to be actively backing up and the car has to be immediately behind you in a very close proximity to the car before it will even alert you. There doesn't seem any active braking either. When you do a search on this issue with BMW's, it is a very common complaint of BMW owners. I believe this is a major safety issue with the feature that BMW claims.

SERVICE BRAKES
Subject: Failure to Perform Safety Recall 24V-739 / Brake System Failure Description of the Problem:"My 2024 BMW X7 (VIN: [XXX] ) is currently experiencing a critical failure of the Integrated Brake (IB) module, which is part of the active Safety Recall 24V-739. The dashboard displays the message 'Drive carefully. Brake system.' I have contacted BMW AG [XXX] ) and BMW North America multiple times over the past 3 weeks, but they have failed to provide authorization for the repair at the authorized service center (Improtex Motors). The manufacturer is knowingly allowing a vehicle with a life-threatening brake defect to remain on the road by delaying the recall remedy. This is gross negligence

ENGINE
The X7 engine shut down twice while driving. Both incidents took place in busy traffic, engine shut down with warning sound and error message flashed up on screen and disappeared so quick that no one can remember. As the result, the vehicle was stuck in the middle of busy traffic. Within less than 1 minute, the vehicle can be restarted and driven as normal. The vehicle was brought to BMW dealership since the 1st incident. Dealership implemented software update only. The 2nd incident happened roughly 7 months after the 1st incident. Currently it's with dealership again since the 2nd incident. At the moment of writing up this case, the service advisor told me replacing the 12V battery would
