The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.

The remedy
Dealers will replace the driver’s airbag cover. Owner letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall are PC944, PC945, and PC946.

10V371000 · August 9, 2010

The defect
NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 NISSAN ARMADA VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JUNE 7, 2010 THROUGH JUNE 11, 2010. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." THE SECOND ROW CENTER SEAT HINGE ASSEMBLY WAS MANUFACTURED OUT OF SPECIFICATION. THIS MAY PREVENT THE REAR CENTER SEATBACK FROM FULLY LOCKING IN THE IN-USE (UPRIGHT) POSITION.
The risk
IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE SECOND ROW CENTER SEAT MAY NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE SECOND ROW CENTER SEAT HINGES/LOCK FOR PROPER FUNCTION. IF THE SEAT DOES NOT LOCK AS DESIGNED, THE SECOND ROW CENTER SEAT HINGE ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 30, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

The defect
NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 TITAN, ARMADA, QX56, FRONTIER, XTERRA, AND PATHFINDER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM NOVEMBER 19, 2009 THROUGH MARCH 3, 2010. IF THE COLLAR WELD SEPARATES, THE VEHICLE HANDLING WILL DETERIORATE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
The remedy
NISSAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 20, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

The defect
NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 TITAN, ARMADA, AND INFINITI QX56, AND MODEL YEAR 2008-2009 NISSAN QUEST VEHICLES. THE BRAKE PEDAL PIVOT PIN END WAS NOT SPIN-FORMED TO SPECIFICATION DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. THE PIVOT PIN COULD SLIDE AND CAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO PARTIALLY DISENGAGE FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL BRACKET.
The risk
THE DRIVER WILL EXPERIENCE UNUSUAL AND NOTICEABLE LOOSENESS IN THE PEDAL AND A REDUCTION IN BRAKING FORCE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT TO SEE IF THE PIVOT PIN HAD BEEN FORMED PROPERLY AND WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 22, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

AIR BAGS
I just purchased the vehicle with the airbag alert on, as well as the seatbelt alert. It seems there’s no recall for this vehicle. Please advise that you should reconsider the limited recalls and include the 2010 Armanda with the “platinum” package.

AIR BAGS
Hello, On 4.25.25 I took my 2010 Nissan Armada into the Thoroughbred Nissan Dealership in Tucson AZ for the recall on the air bag emblem/cover. They replaced the cover and installed 98510ZQ01C: Kit Service Air bag cover. However my air bag light on the dash is still blinking. So, I googled "2010 nissan armada platinum air bag issues" and found that the AI overview stated: "The 2010 Nissan Armada, including the Platinum trim, has been involved in several recalls related to air bags, including those from Takata inflators. Some issues involve potential ruptures or malfunctions of the inflator module, as well as problems with the driver's air bag cover. " So it appears that there is an air bag

SERVICE BRAKES
We bought this Armada used about two years ago and it had about 85,000 miles on it then. On Monday August 26th 2024 my wife came home and as she pulled in to park the brake pedal went to the floor. The passenger side front steer tire inside was covered in brake fluid. I pulled it in to our garage and removed the tire and had her pump the brake pedal to find the fluid loss spot. Upon inspection I discovered the Steer tire had rubbed through the brake hose causing brake fluid loss. I replaced the hose and inspected the driver side to discover it was almost rubbed through to the cords inside the hose. It will be replaced too. I have saved the passenger side hose and will save the driver hose

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I had a sudden power lose with no warning while traveling down interstate at 70mph in "fast lane". I had no power and steering the vehicle to safety was a serious challenge. We were almost hit several time as I negotiated my way to the shoulder of the Interstate. I was scary and after almost being struck by passing vehicles, my wife actually got sick to her stomach. After avoiding accident's to pull off shoulder of the road I was not able to get the vehicle started. Upon being towed home I discovered the vehicle ran out of gas, although the gas gauge was showing 1/4 of tank. I went online and found there was a recall for Nissan Armada, 2005-2009 dated 3/18/2010 for the same exact issue (see

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
