The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Nissan Armada, 2011-2013 Infiniti QX56, and 2014-2027 QX80 vehicles equipped with 22" wheels. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
The risk
An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will install new labels, free of charge. Additionally, Nissan will mail replacement labels to owners. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed August 21, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R26B1 and P6A13/4. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.

The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Murano, 2025-2026 Armada, and Infiniti QX80 vehicles. A software error may occur in the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
The IVI system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25D6, R25D5, and R25D7. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 12, 2025.

SEATS

1 injured

My wife drove 2 hours on 11/18/2025 and got a second degree burn from her seat heater. She turned the seat heater on in the beginning of the drive, she didn't interact with it again, and it slow cooked her over the drive. It didn't cycle or lower itself at all.

AIR BAGS

crash · towed

On Saturday, February 7th, at approximately 1:00 PM, I was involved in a high-impact rear-end collision while driving cautiously with Adaptive Cruise Control and driver assistance systems activated, maintaining the distance set by the vehicle itself. When the vehicles ahead of me suddenly collided, my Nissan Armada did not brake properly. I am not stating that the braking response was insufficient — I am stating that the braking system failed to function correctly. Despite fully depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate in a normal or expected manner. Most importantly, there were no visible skid marks or braking marks on the pavement after the accident, which strongly

AIR BAGS
On May 3rd my Nissan Armada's airbag system was unable to be repaired and was rendered unusable due to inoperable safety equipment. We were told the part would not be available for repair until at least September of 2026. We have been in contact with a Nissan case manager about possible resolutions to our problem but no acceptable option has been offered by Nissan to date. The unavailable safety part number is: POO 873G9-7KA1A FRAME ASSY-CUSHION,FRONT SEAT RH See attached repair invoice for details.

POWER TRAIN
When I was stopped and taking a turn, the car will not fully accelerate and it feels almost as if the car is stuck in first gear and won't shift. It makes a super loud revving noise and won't go over 15-20 mph. When this happens, I can't accelerate quickly enough to turn safely with oncoming traffic even with a very long distance. It has happened twice and both time I've nearly been hit. This is a safety issue and puts me and my children at risk when we are driving. I've had to hurry and find a safe place to pull over both times. When I turn the car off and then on again, it goes back to normal. I've also shifted into park and then to drive and it goes back to normal again. This is a huge

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I am writing to report a critical safety failure regarding my vehicle’s display systems. While driving, the left side of the infotainment system (the digital instrument cluster) went completely dark. I lost all visibility of my speedometer, odometer, and critical vehicle warnings. I immediately pulled over and attempted to power-cycle the vehicle, but the display remained unresponsive. Shortly after, the right side of the infotainment system also failed, resulting in a total loss of control over the HVAC (AC), radio, and integrated garage door opener. This is a recurring issue documented by other owners of this model, and given the loss of the speedometer while in motion, I consider the

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I was driving and the left side of infotainment system went out. I could not see my speed, odometer everything on the dash. I pulled over, stopped the car, turned it off and on but that did not work. This was very dangerous. After sitting for about 30 minutes it started working. i took it to the dealer and picked it up because they were waiting on direction from Nissan. Then the right side of the infotainment went out. It has not come back on. This side controls the radio, ac and garage door opener. Something is wrong and I am not the only owner this has happened to.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
