14V418000 · July 10, 2014

The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Frontier Crew Cab vehicles manufactured June 11, 2014 to June 26, 2014. The affected vehicles were manufactured with an out of specification anchor nut installed on the weld nut plate where the rear seat belt anchor is attached. The seat belt anchor bolt may not be attached as designed.
The risk
If the seat belt anchor bolt is not attached as designed, that increases the risk of injury in the event of a vehicle crash.
The remedy
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat belt anchor attachment and repair it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began on August 18, 2014. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FUSES AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS

14V052000 · February 12, 2014

The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2012 through 2014 Frontier vehicles manufactured from November 28, 2012, through December 17, 2013. In the affected vehicles, a circuit breaker may have been installed incorrectly causing the main wire harness connected to the circuit breaker to face outward, potentially contacting a metal bolt located on the A-pillar.
The risk
The bolt may wear through the wire harness covering, resulting in an electrical short which could cause a fire.
The remedy
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the circuit breaker orientation. If the circuit breaker orientation is incorrect, dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. The recall began on March 17, 2014. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

TAKATA RECALL. WHEN IN A "FRONT END COLLISION" AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED (EST. 70-80 MPH), AT IMPACT, NO AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED AND RESULTED IN HITTING MY HEAD EITHER AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL OR THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW (I AM UNSURE, AS I LOST CONSCIOUSNESS FOR SECONDS AFTER THE COLLISION). THIS COLLISION OCCURRED, MOST RECENTLY, ON 08/28/18. I WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN A "FRONT END COLLISION" WITH A SEMI-TRUCK/18-WHEELER IN FEBRUARY OF 2018. THIS WAS ALSO AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED BUT THE IMPACT WAS TO THE PASSENGER SIDE, PREDOMINANTLY. ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T HAVE A PASSENGER, I STILL WAS HIT HARD ENOUGH THAT THE IMPACT JOLTED MY HEAD TO, ONCE AGAIN, HIT MY STEERING WHEEL AND RESULTING IN BEING

AIR BAGS
The Air Bag Clock Spring Spiral Cable failed on 6-29-2022. Nissan replaced the component 6-30-2022 at a cost to me of 852.72. I spoke with several service technicians at this dealership and I quote... yep, this happens all the time with these clock springs. I called Nissan consumer affairs. My case number was 46685014. They said since this is covered under the 5 year 60 K miles that they would not cover the cost. My 2014 truck has 66K. I said to them I felt that this is a safety issue and there should not be a time or mileage limit attached to a safety issue since the airbags will not deploy and that this problem is occurring often, according to Nissan's own service technicians. Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
