The defect
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Lexus NX350, NX250, 2023-2026 RX350, and 2024-2026 TX350 vehicles. The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will update the rearview camera software or replace the rearview camera, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26LB02 and 26LA02.

The defect
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A rearview camera that fails to display an image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will update the parking assist software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB13 and 25LB06. Subaru's number for this recall is WRE25.

The defect
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Venza, 2023-2025 RAV4 Prime, RAV4, Highlander, GR Corolla, Crown, 2024-2025 Lexus TX, LS, Toyota Tacoma, Grand Highlander, and 2025 Lexus RX, Toyota Crown Signia, Camry, RAV 4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and 4 Runner vehicles. Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.
The risk
An instrument panel display that does not show critical information can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
The remedy
Dealers will update the instrument panel software over-the-air (OTA) for non-PHEV vehicles, free of charge. For PHEV vehicles, dealers will inspect the instrument panel assembly, and either replace it, or update the software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed December 5, 2025. Additional letters will be sent, anticipated in May 2026. This is a phased recall. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB08 and 25TA08. Lexus' numbers for this recall are 25LB05 and 25LA05.

The defect
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander, Grand Highlander Hybrid, Lexus TX350, TX500 Hybrid, and TX550 Hybrid+ vehicles. The driver and passenger side curtain air bags may not unroll as intended and could partially deploy outside of an open window. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
The risk
An improper deployment of the side curtain air bag can reduce occupant protection during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy
Dealers will replace the driver and passenger curtain shield air bag assemblies, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed November 4, 2024. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24TB09/24TA09 and Lexus' numbers are 24LB05/24LA05.

The contact stated while driving 15-20 MPH from a complete stop and making a left turn, another vehicle who was driving at an undisclosed speed, crashed into the front passenger's side end of the vehicle, causing the front end of the vehicle to separate. The contact shifted into park(P), and the vehicle stopped on the road. The other vehicle continued to accelerate and veered off into a ditch. On 3 different occurrences. Regarding rear-left gate foot sensor. Vehicle rear lift-gate as closed when feet are planted on ground while unloading groceries from the vehicle. This claim has also been confirm with dealership as Diagnostics Technician was able to duplicate issue. First incident hit spouse on the head. Second time hit myself. 3rd was able to dodge lift-gate closing down. Treasure Coast Lexus Diagnostics technician advised to disable feature and when needed to enable. That doesn't resolve the safety issue as the occurrence of lift-gate closing could still occur when feature is enabled. New vehicle purchase 5/21/2024. Its at dealership waiting for repairs.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The car emits very strong gas fumes into the cabin during longer drives. You can taste the gas. Has happened over 5 times. Submitted for service multiple times; on the 4th time, they were finally able to "recreate it". And the dealer confirmed the issue. No warning or check engine lights came on.

The contact owns a 2024 Lexus TX 500H. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle drove over glass in the roadway that struck the air conditioner condenser. Approximately two weeks later, the air conditioner failed to blow cool air. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was determined that the A/C condenser was damaged by the debris, causing a coolant leak. The dealer stated that the condenser needed to be replaced. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Action Number: DP26006 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.

Odometer Fraud: The contact owns a 2024 Lexus TX 350. The contact stated that a mileage discrepancy was discovered. The vehicle was a dealer sale. The contact discovered information indicating that the vehicle was a cloned vehicle. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 39,000; however, during a service appointment, it was discovered that the vehicle mileage was 41,800.

I am reporting a severe, systemic vehicle performance discrepancy on my Lexus TX 500h (2.4L Turbo Hybrid powertrain). The vehicle is officially labeled with an EPA rating of 27 MPG combined. However, under normal, conservative driving conditions, the vehicle routinely achieves only 20 to 21 MPG—a consistent 20%+ shortfall from the manufacturer's certified window sticker metrics. This has drastically limited the vehicle's safe total driving range to under 300 miles per tank. The shortfall persists despite cautious driving in Eco Mode and after passing the engine break-in period. I am filing this complaint regarding my 2024 Lexus TX. A road rock/debris entered through the vehicle’s factory front grille and struck/punctured the A/C condenser, causing the air conditioning system to stop functioning properly. The repair cost is approximately $2,500. The factory grille has large openings that leave the condenser vulnerable to direct impact from normal road debris. Lexus does not have a protective screen or guard that can be installed to prevent this type of damage. This design flaw has affected many other Lexus TX owners and I think they need to offer up more protective measures to avoid this from happening over and over again.
