The defect

The risk
An engine compartment fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
The remedy
Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will replace the ABS fuse, free of charge. An investigation means NHTSA has decided a pattern is worth examining. A preliminary evaluation is often closed with no action; an engineering analysis is the stage that usually precedes a recall.

My Vehicle has no warning signs lights that it has an problem/issue to warn. When driving to 30mpg the vehicle does a forceful jerk forward to a stop causing whiplash effect to driver and passengers. When vehicle comes to a near stop to traffic or light it creates the same effect. This is a constant through the entire driving trip. I have taken it to several mechanics and they have accurate or certain solution. In the attempt to find isssue transmission service, oil change, and spark plugs have been changed. Brakes have been check as well from professional service mechanics

NHTSA complaint 11701018. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

STEERING
This is happened too many times even though in frequent and it is very unsafe when it happens on the open road as the steering will be completely unavailable most likely relative to the eps. No incident yet but that is only because I’m a good driver, but it sure is unsafe and scary and something needs to be done as I’ve read many online people having the same issue with this vehicle

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I have made sure that the oil was changed on my 2015 Hyundai Azera. It has consistantly used oil. And now , I noticed a disturbing sound under the hood. Now, i have found metal shavings in my oil. This is a Theta engine. 6 cylinder. And according to the internet. Since 2011, Hyundai engines have been consistantly complained about and this engine needs to be added to the recall list for having the exact same manufacturing defect of metal shavings in the oil, like so many millions of other Hyundai cars. Thank you, Nicol Richards

When traveling at speeds above 50 mph, my steering has a dead-spot, on-center. At this steering position when trying to keep the car straight on the road or highway, the steering wheel sticks and requires force to keep my car heading straight.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
