THE COLLISION OCCURRED WHEN THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO CROSS THE 4TH SB LANE (MY LANE). I HIT THE CAR WITHOUT BREAKING AS I WAS TRAVELING 45MPH. THIS WAS A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE OTHER VEHICLE HAD AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.

NHTSA complaint 11286544. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Very loud static across multiple speakers, often independent of radio volume with intermittent static through multiple speakers even when muted or off. I can't hear sirens or emergency vehicles. I can't hear anything except loud static. This is a safety hazard. I read comments about this being a common issue with 2016/2017 Honda Accords XL and higher. This is a factory/manufacturer's defect. There should be a recall so customers don't have a $1400 expense for replacement. Unable to upload video of very loud static noise.

NHTSA complaint 11756847. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Car shuts off at highway speeds and in stop and go traffic like it has a fuel delivery issue. Car sputters and then loses all power. I know there was a previous recall on this vehicle but I’m curious whether it was actually fixed on my car specifically.

NHTSA complaint 11753367. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The rearview camera on my 2017 Honda Accord has permanently failed. When the vehicle is placed in reverse, the display activates and the yellow guide lines appear, but the actual camera image is completely cloudy and unusable. The camera appears to have an internal failure. The vehicle has lost the ability to provide a clear rear view through its factory-installed backup camera system. Honda has recently addressed similar rear camera clouding/water intrusion issues on other models. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this condition represents a broader safety defect affecting Honda Accord vehicles.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
