The defect
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2021, 2023 Acura TLX, 2019-2024 RDX, 2017-2020, 2022-2026 MDX, 2017-2021, 2023, 2025 Honda Ridgeline, 2017-2022 Pilot, 2019-2021 Passport, 2018-2026 Odyssey, 2019-2022 Insight, 2019-2021 HR-V, 2018-2020 Fit, 2020-2022 CR-V Hybrid, 2017-2022 CR-V, 2017-2018, 2021 Civic Type R, 2017-2021 Civic hatchback, 2016-2020 Civic coupe, 2016-2022 Civic, 2017-2022 Accord Hybrid, and 2016-2022 Accord vehicles. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.
The risk
Air bags that deploy unintentionally during a crash increase the risk of injury.
The remedy
Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are BOL, WO9, OOA, WOM, XOH, NOC, POD, BOE, UOF, POB, EOG, AOI, QO8, TOJ, DO7, and SOK. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 24V064. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 29, 2026.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

The defect
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 Honda Accord, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Acura ILX, MDX, MDX Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX, 2019-2022 Honda Insight, Passport, 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2018-2019 Honda Clarity PHEV, Fit, and 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, Pilot, Acura NSX vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
The risk
Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

The defect
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Acura MDX, 2015-2019 Acura TLX and 2015-2017 Honda Accord vehicles, equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. Particulates in fuel may adhere to the internal components of the fuel pump, reducing its performance.
The risk
Reduced fuel pump performance can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of crash.
The remedy
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit (FI-ECU) software and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019. Owners may contact customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Acura's recall number for this recall is P3W. Honda's recall number for this recall is N3X.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE HER MOTHER WAS DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF ANY WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO EL PASO HONDA LOCATED AT 1490 LEE TREVINO DR, EL PASO, TX 79936 (915) 591-6100 WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. I WAS DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON MD 301 HIGHWAY IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE (4TH LANE) GOING 45MPH. THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS HEADED NORTHBOUND ON MD 301 AND MADE A LEFT TURN ONTO THE SB LANES CROSSING ALL LANES. THE COLLISION OCCURRED WHEN THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO CROSS THE 4TH SB LANE (MY LANE). I HIT THE CAR WITHOUT BREAKING AS I WAS TRAVELING 45MPH. THIS WAS A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE OTHER VEHICLE HAD AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.

Defective radio causing DEAFENING static sound even if radio is OFF. Louder when radio is ON! The volume control and power button has no effect on the static. The noise is so LOUD that drivers cannot hear sirens from emergency vehicles or the voice from navigation. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
UNKNOWN- My speedometer is off by 5 miles per hour. Think I'm going the correct speed in a school zone and find out it's not reading correctly. Got a device to check it and sure enough it's off. ELECTRICAL- This is the second time my GPS screen/radio has been replaced due to the fact that I am a Realtor and I use this a lot to find the homes my clients want to see. The screen goes dark, the music goes loud, you can't turn it down, screen freezes etc. Or using the GPS and I receive a phone call and the screen goes black. So I find it hard to believe it was the radio when the new one is doing the exact same thing. The first time this happened I believe was around Dec 2025 and now it's doing

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The car radio / infotainment system caused dangerously loud, painful, pulsating static noise to play from all speakers. The noise starts at a lower decibel and gets louder to the point where conversation is impossible. High pitched digital noise is also present and creates additional, painful damage to hearing. Driver concentration is severely impacted and situational awareness is affected due to not being able to hear cars, engines, sirens, or other traffic related noises while driving. No warning lamps or other indicators are present. Upon inspection, the problem can be mitigated by pulling the fuse to the system rendering it inoperable. It cannot be turned off otherwise. Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was an independent dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 80,000. It was later discovered upon checking the Carfax report that the mileage was 277,000.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2017 Honda Accord. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of the purchase on June 20, 2026, the mileage was 100,000. The contact discovered under a Carfax report that the mileage was 264,897 on July 28, 2025.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Very loud static across multiple speakers, often independent of radio volume with intermittent static through multiple speakers even when muted or off. I can't hear sirens or emergency vehicles. I can't hear anything except loud static. This is a safety hazard. I read comments about this being a common issue with 2016/2017 Honda Accords XL and higher. This is a factory/manufacturer's defect. There should be a recall so customers don't have a $1400 expense for replacement. Unable to upload video of very loud static noise.
