The defect
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Murano, Pathfinder, and INFINITI QX60 vehicles. One or both front brake caliper assemblies may have reduced strength and could break. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
The risk
A broken front brake caliper can cause a loss of front brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the front brake caliper assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 9, 2025. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are PD137 and PD138.

In owners' own words

Quoted from NHTSA's complaint file. These are unverified accounts by the people who filed them, not findings of fault.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Wireless phone charging pad overheats phone to the point the phone turns off. Concern for possible fire hazard due to how hot the phone gets. In July 2026 the dealer was advised of issue. Dealer referred me to Infinity Consumer Affairs who said they consulted with their engineers and there is nothing they can do about this known issue.

NHTSA complaint 11751647. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Pulling onto 55mph road from a stop, the car began to accelerate then lagged(felt like a pause/stall in acceleration) and then overcompensated with rapid acceleration. This has happened multiple times. The vehicle has also gotten stuck in a low gear when accelerating in auto mode. Took the car to the dealership expressing safety concern of unreliable acceleration and they couldn’t replicate the issue.

NHTSA complaint 11751044. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
While driving on highway vehicle completely shut down . Barely giving time to pull over to the shoulder. The car required a tow. After inspection it was determined the Fuel pump needed to be replaced with 12,287 miles on the vehicle

NHTSA complaint 11744563. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

SERVICE BRAKES
Defective rear brakes & rear rotors at less then 22,000 miles on a 2025 QX60 almost causing major accident. Rotors warped & pads worn down to 1mm/2mm. Defective OEM parts used by Infiniti, refusal to cover under vehicle warranty.

NHTSA complaint 11740699. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Cabin vibration happens intermittently. Purchases vehicle new with 300 miles on it. Less than a month I experienced this vibration for the first time. It has happened at least once a month since. The noise and vibration is inside the vehicle only and only noticeable when driving. It appears to be related to the noise cancellation system.

NHTSA complaint 11706301. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

ENGINE
Vehicle experiences noticeable vibration or rough idle when in Drive at stop, especially after warm-up. The issue persists despite regular maintenance and oil changes. Multiple owners report similar symptoms in 2022–2025 Infiniti QX60 models. The 2025 QX60 uses a new engine that has already been recalled in other Infiniti models due to similar issues. However, there has been no recall or official repair action issued for the 2025 QX60, even though the same engine and symptoms are present. Possible engine mount or idle control defect.

NHTSA complaint 11694424. Filed by an owner and not verified by NHTSA or by us.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
