VISIBILITY/WIPER

1 injured

While driving, the sunroof suddenly exploded without any external cause. The temperature at the time was approximately 42°F. The glass shattered throughout the interior of the vehicle, with pieces falling into my clothing and all over the cabin.I immediately contacted the dealership and was advised to visit the nearest Toyota location; however, there wasn’t one nearby. I had to cover the vehicle with a tarp to continue my 4 hour drive home. Thankfully, I was traveling alone—had my family been with me, including my [XXX] infant, this could have resulted in severe injury, as glass would have fallen directly on the car seat. The dealership later inspected the vehicle and found no evidence of

POWER TRAIN
When you almost stop but then hit the gas there is a dead petal. The vehicle doesn’t accelerate. Then you almost get t boned. They know about the problem but say everything is fine. It’s traction control. It is not. I guess I will have to sue if I survive the crash.

ENGINE
I bought the vehicle new in November 2025. 2026 Toyota Tubdra TRD SR5. In the first week I noticed a lot of jerking and shaking. I brought it to the dealer and was told it was a break in period and it should go away. I’ve had the truck in the shop 5-6 times since and the jerking and shaking hasn’t gone away. I’m at 6300 miles now. The dealer won’t even respond to me anymore. The only way to make the jerking go away is to step on the gas pedal harder but this has become extremely dangerous because it’s forcing me to go faster than I would like, especially in school zones. The dealers say that it’s the truck running very low RPM’s to maximize fuel efficiency and also because there are 10

POWER TRAIN
This is a reoccuring issue and happens daily. When the vehicle is cold and sitting all day or all night, on the first 5 minutes of driving or so, when you push the accelerator pedal from a dead stop or rolling stop, there is no throttle/engine response for at least 1.5-2 seconds. This is a HIGHLY unsafe condition and can lead to a traffic collision. I have reached out to Toyota Corporate about this and they said to bring it into my local dealer, Dick Hannah Toyota in Kelso, WA to perform the rolling stop TSB that is out on these Tundra Trucks. I received information from Dick Hannah that when they went to perform the procedures to take care of this TSB, that it had already been done and

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Bought my vehicle brand new on January 2026. During heavy rain, my truck has a strong water leak that comes out of the handle bars between the windshield and front door windows, behind the rearview mirrors and the sun glasses compartment. I’ve brought my vehicle to the dealership 3 times already and couldn’t fix the issue or duplicate the water leak. After the third visit at the dealership, i couldn’t find out if the leak was fixed since it has not rained since then. So i went ahead and washed my vehicle and sprayed the top and front of my vehicle. As i went in my truck, i saw water leaking again.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
