Not sure what failed. At around 8:30 am on a sunny clear day the driver was maneuvering slowly up a ramp between first and second floors of a parking garage at the college campus where the driver works. Driver paused the vehicle and slowly turned to the right to park in an open spot about halfway up the ramp. There was a large concrete pillar to the right of the parking spot and a low steel cable wall at the end of the parking space along the inner structure of the garage. While turning into the space, the driver described suddenly feeling "a loss of control of the vehicle" wherein it "felt like it was in neutral and wouldn't stop". The car hit the wall with extreme force, enough for

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

On 2 separate occasions, the forward collision warning system activated. On both occasions I was under control of the vehicle with my foot on the brake approaching a vehicle that had slowed while entering into a round about...I was approximately 10 feet from the car in front going about 6 mph. All of a sudden several warning indicators activated (audible and visual) and then out of nowhere, all four wheels locked and my car came to a skidding/juddering stop. I immediately looked in rear view mirror fearing I was going to get rear-ended. The vehicle in front proceeded to move on and I tried to get myself together and get moving. I was shocked that this had happened as it was totally

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

1 injured

The Automatic Emergency Braking system went off when there was no reason for it to. It seems to think I am closer to vehicles than I actually am. It frequently warns that I need to brake when I don't need to, either because I am already stopped or because the vehicle that had previously been in front of me changed lanes. Today the vehicle braked so hard that I thought I had been in an accident for a minute. There was appropriate clearance between my car and the car in front of me and no reason to auto brake. I now have wipe lash. Hopefully they recall and fix this issue ASAP.

The rear hatch was open as I had loaded packages in it. My husband & I were both at the rear of the car. I was on the passenger side but told my husband I was going to drive home and began crossing over to the driver side. He pushed the button to close the hatch. It came down and hit me in the head. It lacerated my head and really hurt. I had to get 5 staples to close the wound. This is a very concerning safety hazard. As an adult it was painful and required medical attention. I believe it should have detected my presence and stopped. I am concerned what would have happened if this was a child. I believe they would have been seriously injured or killed. I have 3 grandchildren so it is very

crash

Previously reported issues to dealership about issues with instrument cluster going black and had it brought in for recalled software updates. Received paperwork stating completion of Campaign 302 and 304 on July 18th, 2026. While driving on the interstate on August 13, 2026 I had the cruise control, lane assist, and steering assist active. The instrument cluster went completely black and at the same time I experienced unusual steering behavior which led to me going into the next lane and hitting another vehicle.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
I have a eye condition called Strabismus/ lazy eye that I've had for most of my life. I've learned to live with it quite well. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, roughly 4% of the U.S. adult population has Strabismus.. My previous vehicle (Genesis G70) had the Lane Keep feature that I used all the time. Now when I drive my new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybred on the highway with cruise control, I can't use "Lane Keep Assist" (on the steering wheel) because within a few seconds it will give WARNING-EYES ON THE ROAD, BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL then go into emergency stop while I am staring straight ahead and have both hands on the wheel. - - Also, if I am driving on a Interstate

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
The car detects phantom blind spot alerts even after the camera update. It happens based on front and rear cameras. When the car falsely alerts it fully locks up the breaks and steering until the fault clears. It happened yesterday trying to pull out of a street side parking space. There were no oncoming cars, but the car fully alerted and locked up. It happened in rush hour traffic when trying to pull to the side for an emergency vehicle alerting and causing the car to fully lock up and delay moving aside for an emergency vehicle, and it happened trying to pull into a parking lot in a line of other vehicles also pulling into the lot (school pickup line). Every time it does this it fully

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
