Owners of the 2025 Chevrolet Trax have filed 79 safety complaints with NHTSA between June 2024 and August 2026. The most complained-about system is the electrical system, named in 30 of them (38%). The typical failure was reported at 5,000 miles, the median across the 9 complaints that gave an odometer reading.

No recall campaign was matched to this year, make and model. That is not the same as a clean vehicle: recalls are issued against production ranges, and the only reliable check is your own VIN.

My 2025 Chevy TRAX is a safety and illeagll intrusion problem, by allowing fab key kit to bought and clone a 2025 electrical safety vehicle locks, doors, windows which makes this vehicle electrical locking system useless and allows anybody to enter and vandalize the interior and causing a HEALTH HAZARD when entered by anybody other than the PAID OWNERS. This vehicle should be on a " Safety Alert" and electrical need to be made.

As it stopped, I hit my brake, which usually jolts when I hit it but it didn't this time, the brake didn't feel the same it felt like my car wasn't stopping. The warning that usually goes off didn't go off either. My car hit a Jeep that was in front of me at a speed of about 55 to 60 mph yet none of my airbags diployed. We smelled fire and saw some smoke but couldn't see over the hood that had been bent up, both of our seatbealts had been stretched out so that when we took them off, we could not put them back on, and the

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
On my way to work the car overheated causing me to be stranded in the middle of no where without cell service. When it got to the dealership to repaire the car, they stated that it was a cylinder head. The dearship had my car a little over a month for repairs, the dealership did finally give me a loaner for the last week of the repairs but I lost work and a client due to not having transportation. A week after receiving the car back I still had problems with a check engine light coming on occasionally with loss of power and it would go away. I did not trust the car at all.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Was traveling to head towards the beach and all of a sudden the whole dash starts glitching then goes out for about 10-25 seconds then cuts back on like the car is powering back on. I thought maybe it had something to do with my daughter touching the radio. Well I continue to travel get down the road about another 45mins and it does it again. So I decide to turn the radio off, turn off the A/C, call the dealership and turn around and go home. Dealership checks the car, states it may have been the radio. But how when the car seem to lag/ lose power for a few seconds. That's a safety issue. Car can cut off and cause catastrophic damages. I only drive 3 miles to my job daily so I don't know if

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
