A complaint is an unverified account by the person who filed it, not a finding of fault. One complaint is one ODI number, which is how NHTSA counts them.

A recall is the manufacturer conceding a defect, and the repair is free. Whether one covers your particular car is a question only its VIN can answer, because a campaign covers a production range rather than a model year.

This is the year the complaint was filed, not the year the failure happened. The range runs from 2024 to 2026, the last of them a part year, which is why its column is drawn faint.

Crash test ratings

NHTSA New Car Assessment Program

NHTSA crashes a car into a barrier and a pole and measures what happens to the dummies inside. This is what it awarded the 2025 Toyota CAMRY HYBRID, and it is a separate question from what owners report going wrong later.

A rating belongs to a tested body style and drivetrain, not to the model as a whole, which is why more than one is listed. A dash means NHTSA did not rate that test for this vehicle.

There is no way to turn off the features after looking into the manual. While I was driving on the Interstate, my wheel jerked to the right towards the off ramp when I heals it straight. It was fighting me. Another time a bus was pulled to the right in front of me to pick up the people, and my car abruptly braked despite being in the clear and having pushing on my accelerator. But my vehicle jerked into the left lane over the right when I made a right turn from a stop, nearly causing me to be rear ending by traffic. As I was driving approximately last week, my car made a complete harsh stop at approximately over 30mph causing me to have severe neck and head pains that have only been

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
When the headlight switch is set to AUTO, the vehicle consistently takes approximately 16 seconds to activate the headlights when entering a dark environment such as a tunnel or underpass. The dashboard illumination dims immediately, indicating the ambient light sensor detects the low-light condition, but the headlights do not activate for approximately 16 seconds. To illustrate the safety hazard: at 60 mph, a vehicle travels 1,760 feet — approximately one-third of a mile — in 16 seconds without headlights. At 55 mph, the vehicle travels approximately 1,613 feet in the same time. This is an unacceptable and dangerous safety risk to the driver and other motorists. In my experience with

STRUCTURE:BODY
The plastic clips/brackets that hold the front bumper on just below the headlights keep coming out. This causes a large gap under the headlights. Not sure if possibly the whole front bumper will fall off in front of car while driving. The brackets on both sides on my car will not hold. I can push the bumper up to engage and the clips just pop right back out of bracket. This is a design flaw the Toyota should take responsibility for. I pointed the issue out at the dealership and they want to ignore it.

If this is your car and a dealer keeps failing to fix it, your state's lemon law may require the manufacturer to replace it or buy it back. How many repair attempts it takes, and how long you have to file, is set by the state you bought in and by nothing on this page.

Where these numbers come from

A complaint is one owner's account and has not been verified by NHTSA or by us. A vehicle with more complaints is not necessarily worse: models that sold in larger numbers collect more of them. How this is counted.
