The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2023 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and Jeep Wagoneer L vehicles. A software error may cause the transmission gear selection indicator not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect."
The risk
A missing gear selection indicator may lead to unintended vehicle movement or a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will update the shifter module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 21, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 30D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 9, 2026.

The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. A software error in the occupant restraint controller module may cause the delayed deployment of the side air bags during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
The risk
Delayed air bag deployment during a crash increases the risk of injury.
The remedy
Dealers will update the occupant restraint controller module software, free of charge. Some owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 18, 2026. The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The second-row seat head restraints may not lock in the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."
The risk
Head restraints that do not lock can result in an increased risk of injury to seat occupants during a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace both second-row seat head restraints, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 5, 2025. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 20C.

The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. Incorrect software in the rearview camera module may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The risk
A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will update the rearview camera module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 21, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D5B.

The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The radiator crossmember bolts may not be properly secured, which can lead to improper air bag deployments and a fuel leak during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 301, "Fuel System Integrity."
The risk
An improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury. A fuel leak can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect and secure the crossmember bolts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 9, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D1B.

The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. An improperly secured connector for the front seat side air bags (SAB) may prevent the air bags from deploying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
The risk
An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.
The remedy
Dealers secured the connector, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed December 17, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is B3B.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. A software error in the instrument panel cluster may cause the speedometer to display the incorrect vehicle speed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Displays and Controls."
The risk
Driving without knowing the vehicle's actual speed increases the risk of a crash.

No warning lamps were displayed relating to the recall. I was hit from behind while driving between 60 and 70MPH. I lost control and spun around twice before violently hitting a guard rail, perpendicular to the driver's side of my vehicle. The side/door airbags failed to deploy. My neck was thrown into the seatbelt and door. I suffered from partial vocal cord paralysis, tinnitus, dysphagia, loss of hearing, pain, and other symptoms due to the impact; my sternocleidomastoid and associated nerves being primarily affected. As a result I was out of work from May 13th, 2026 to July 3rd, 2026. I was not aware or notified about any recalls until after my accident. My vehicle was totalled.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Dead Battery. The Telematics Bix Module (TBM) is failing to properly shut off when the car is parked. Therefore it induces a parasitic drain on the battery. We have had the battery replaced by the dealer. This problem is known to affect 2022-2025 models.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Significant electrical issues. Screens randomly turn off and flicker which prevents driver from being able to see vehicle status including speed. Vehicle also has built in charge pad which over heats and concerned could lead to wires melting and fire. Vehicle has spent multiple weeks at dealership for electrical issues but no solution has thus far been found.
